Life is a massive balancing act.
This is true for everyone, and yet some people find it easier than others and manage with apparent ease to have a working life, material income and can still find enough energy and resources to be a good parent / wife / husband / brother / sister/ uncle / co-worker / neighbour / friend... the list goes on of the roles in our lives where we have demands made on our time from other people.
At the risk of being sexist, I do think this is worse for women than it is for the majority of men, not ALL men, of course not, but generally women care and nurture their families through cooking, shopping, cleaning and are also the relationship builders within communities to help their children survive and thrive with social meetings and bonds, after school tea-times, sleep-overs, driving to places for meetings and arrangements to help their children have a life.
At that busy stage of the game of life, the stage where the caring for others takes priority, sometimes it can seem impossible to take time out to care for ourselves. If we can maintain a balance between self-care and others-care we will be #WINNING!
Be winners this week my friends and make sure you take the time that you need for yourself.
Love and light to everyone who needs it x
