Hello, I’m Astrologer Patrick Arundell, and here is your Astrology Overview for WC 13th July 2020. As the week begins Mercury has gone into forward motion which can ease communications in general but it does still jag with Mars until Tuesday in a right angle, a square. Also this influence will be repeated later this month in the last week of July. Mercury in Cancer is about the expression of communication, but this can be more subjective than usual, and Mars brings a more unsettled and impatience vibe to bear.
Also the Quarter Moon which brought the celestial curtain down on last week, provides a backdrop of energy for the rest of this week. This can be an echo of the Mercury/Mars square as the Moon is in Aries, like Mars, and the Sun in Cancer, like Mercury. So balancing our drive with our emotion, and also our desire to live in the moment with our closest interactions, will require some care.
This is also a week when the Sun faces both Jupiter and Pluto directly. The series of Eclipses which have occurred in both Cancer and Capricorn over the last couple of years are an echo of what these oppositions can manifest. A need to find a better alignment between nurture and and practicality, feelings and realities, and protection with consumption. Some kind of powerful stand off or power battle may show itself if these areas are out of balance in our lives, and also on the world stage.
Fortunately, Venus and Mars do continue to forge a sparkling alliance, which gives us an opportunity to find ways to connect with one another more meaningfully, and hopefully for some people more romantically too.
