An Open Letter To Virgo For August 2021
Dear Virgo,
How are you occupying your mind? Are you into handy crafts; for example concocting your own fragrances; handcrafting jewellery or even swatting for some imminent test of your competence? There won't be that many Virgos just sitting on their hands and idling away their time. It's just not in your nature. If you are, there must be some extenuating circumstances or external force inhibiting your natural proclivities. Perhaps, you are just too preoccupied with the current state of the pandemic or anxiously glued to your computer screen to do much else. It's understandable. No one has remained totally unscathed by this current pandemic. Indeed, some will never be the same again. Nevertheless, we have to try. I won't offer you any platitudes or emotional sticking-plaster. Instead, I shall appeal to your intellect and desire to help others. You are a gifted individual with a lot to contribute to those around you; your community and, perhaps, even to your country.
I believe the purpose of astrology is not simply to anticipate future events, but to gain an insight into how to make the best of the good times ahead (and hopefully avoid the worst of the bad times). In order to do this, you must have some idea of what you would like to achieve in life. Most Virgo are extremely astute individuals who know what they want from life and are prepared to do the necessary spade-work to make it happen. Agreed? Then let's start!
Week One:
If you have a partner, you may have to strike a balance between “getting your own way” and their personal requirements. What I'm trying to convey is this: your plans and desires may either exceed, or, fall short of their expectations. For example: you might suggest a weekend break in Blackpool and their response might be “over my dead body!”, or, “It has to be a fortnight or nothing!” Indeed, this could be the wrong week to take too much for granted or assume your partner is not capable of digging their heals in over an issue of great importance to them. Just tread careful, that's all I'm saying, because you just can't be certain how they will respond. Other than that, all appears to be hunky-dory.
Other Virgo might be in a quiet and reflective mood. Something may occur to make you realize just how lucky and privileged you are. As a consequence, you might pop into a place of worship to say a “thank you” prayer, or, make a generous donation to a foodbank or charity. Good on you!
Week Two:
Numerous Virgos become emotionally attracted to someone they meet this week. You'll almost be swept off your feet by a complex mixture of love and lust. This meeting of body and soul may occur in a place of entertainment, although it could be something as culturally diverse as a fun-fair, bingo hall, museum, or, opera house. Initially, you feel this is something very special, but don't be foolish and take everything on trust. Some people can be duplicitous and project an alluring and seductive exterior while hiding a few dark secrets. So proceed with caution.
Changing tack for a moment: the all pervasive influence of Uranus suggests much chopping and changing over a wide spectrum of activities. Consequently, it might prove counter-productive to tie yourself down with too many promises or cast iron commitment. Just stay flexible and non-committal if you can. In addition, I have a suspicion that issues affecting your personal mobility, or, communication skills and equipment are in a potentially volatile state of flux. But don't jump to conclusions and think the worst, because the outcome could be a tangible increase in your independence, happiness, and sense of wellbeing. Interestingly, both students and academics find themselves swept along in a current of potentially beneficial changes. However, that's not to say there won't be some secret meetings as a knot of conspirators connive together in a secret cabal. In short: there might be controversy in the classroom and staff room.
Week Three:
Home, work and secret commitments fight for your attention this week. In addition, be careful what you text and with whom you share images. What makes me write this? The combination of Venus, Neptune, and Pluto make me suspect that someone might attempt to embarrass you online. As a result, this is not the best week to lay bare your secrets to friends on the internet. Let caution be your watchword. If in doubt, say and do nowt!
However, let me stress that this won't be true for everyone. In the final analysis, it's your Natal Horoscope which has the casting vote on everything astrological. In fact, very little of consequence can befall you unless it is foreshadowed in your Natal Horoscope. That is the consensus of opinion formulated by generation upon generation of astrologers over the last five thousand years (give or take a few centuries). That understood, let's return to topic.
Those born with a Natal Horoscope which resonates more favourably with the current planetary alignments, will not only be protected from adverse circumstances, but might gain significantly from a remarkable change in their life. Interestingly, care homes and hospitals will be environments which give a number of Virgos born an opportunity to manifest their best qualities. Irrespective of whether they are visitors or staff, they will be generous with their time and extend a comforting hand to residents and patients.
Week Four:
August draws to a close with joyful equanimity. That's to say, all the hard work and self-sacrifice you invested into improving your life Spiritually, philosophically, emotionally and materially, finally begins to bear fruit. You feel buoyant and optimistic. Many of my Virgo friends will feel they are standing on the threshold of a “New Summer of Love”. Obstacles and inhibiting restrictions crumble as you approach them. Incredibly, most of you will feel liberated beyond measure: exonerated, exalted and triumphant! Enjoy the ride.
Well, folks, that's me about all written-out for this letter. As always, take care of yourselves and each other. Act compassionately and shoulder the responsibility we all share for our continued safety. Look after those weaker than yourselves, and never miss an opportunity to do someone a good turn. Imaging what a wonderful world this would be if we all became each other's Good Samaritan. Bye for now.
Yours sincerely,
Guy Doleman: Astrologer
